"Kentucky Girl" Featured, Jamulus Update, Upcoming Single, and More

It's been a busy time for us! Here are some of the highlights:

  • "Kentucky Girl" was featured in Dennis Pilon's excellent music blog, Poprock Record, on October 2: "Not everyone in The Jerrys is named Jerry. The gal in their recent song 'Kentucky Girl' may not even be from Kentucky. What we do know is the band combines an infectious hit of Merseybeat with the folk pop sensibility of bands like The Lilac Time."
  • The Hotel Arizona podcast featured "Kentucky Girl in Episode #872. Hotel Arizona is a radio program that is broadcast live every Saturday at 12:30 on 107.5 FM (Madrid) and via the internet.
  • After test-driving four servers for using with Jamulus, we've found the optimal solution for rehearsing online. Two servers after first posting about our Jamulus experiment, we're hooked. It's hard to understate the awesomeness of attending weekly rehearsals without even leaving the house.
  • We stripped down our live repertoire and are in the process of rebuilding it, including both retiring/replacing cover songs and adding more originals. We're also working on new music for release that will be included.
  • A new single's on the way! We'll soon begin reviewing mixes for a new song and can't wait to share it with you.

Upcoming: Song by The Jerrys featured in new video! Stay tuned.
